Perhaps your right, I dunno because I'm at work, just know it's been difficult trying to get the necessary docs what with the August "shutdown". It's been a very steep learning curve for OH.

LOL...she did the first time she went in and had two copies of everything, guess what?.....they wanted 3 copies of everything!!!! Not knowing the place she had to search around for a photocopy machine with 2 kids in tow...glad I wasnt there, eek!.

added to that the person before her in the queue when served had forgotton something and disappeared for 45 minutes. Naturally you would expect a "next please"...nope they waited until she came back finished dealing with her and THEN attended to the OH.

Viva Espana!

Granada province.
You also need to take passports, photos and birth certs(take original and copies).
You then get given a form to take to the nearest bank and pay 8 euros each, you return with the payment slip and bob's your uncle.

All you need is a passport and copies.

Photos are not required - read the back of the application form - and birth certificates - you have to be joking!

Oh and it's 10 euros for the registration certificate/NIE

But if you feel happier take the lot!

As usual, you can never be sure. We needed in addition to everything else, 2 photos for our NIE. When we went with friends to get residencia we took 2 of absolutely everything and also 2 photos. After 4 hours we got our docs but our friends had to shoot off to a photographer to get photos (even though theres no photo section on the form)

Thats the final document we got from Elda Police station, so 16.01 euros for an NIE. 48.03 euros for 3 of them.

That is the same wording I have on my old NIE.
The residencia form is different wording and green and includes your NIE number on it.

Backs of forms mean nothing here in spain. We had to have birth certs and photos so it's not a joke, especially if you don't take them.

Only kidding :) Around 5 weeks but the Pimsluer I have has no literature with it so spelling is an issue :)

Its getting quite tough now as I cant get my head round "this", "that", is, at, from, his, hers, etc etc dont know what the correct grammatical term is but its heavy going!
