Lightbulb News?

While I have been on holiday in Spain recently my step-dad noticed that all the English papers were from the day before!
Is this the case everywhere or will there be places where we can get the correct newspaper for that day?

Thanks in advance
Hope x

Don't buy a paper very often but when we have it has always been for that current day. Costa de la Luz area.

Here in GALICIA if I ever wish to buy "The Sunday Times" I would not be able to get one from anywhere up here until the "TUESDAY" but as yourself never buy one as it's alway's the same old drivel

I just buy the local Spanish paper

In Costa Blanca (north) they are the same day as the papers are printed in Spain. We occasionally buy the Daily Mail which costs €2.

The Sun, Mail and Mirror all printed here in Spain, do not get any free publications in them like TV mag etc., also very overpriced.

I saw same day papers in the costa del sol. was quite impressed. Then ya know they're printed in spain and no doubt emailed. Modern technology eh? I took the ferry to hull to amsterdam the overnight one and im sure i saw someone with that mornings newspaper the next morning? I was like.. err how? did a helicopter visit? lol. But i might have been wrong lol.

We have been here 15 months and only bought 7 papers since then. I am not interested in the english news and all the crap in the papers. Where we live in Ayamonte you cannot get them the same day, but over the bridge 5 mins away in Portugal you can get them the same day.

In mainland Spain, all the UK papers on sale are actually, by the miracles of compures and the internet, printed here in Spain so are the current days issue. You will find that you don't get everything, like no free gifts, no extra magazines etc. Certainly can't understand, unless he was looking too early in the morning as the papers aren't delivered as early as they would be in the UK, so you may ahve to wait till a bit later, but they will certainly be the same days issue. However I have bought no more than 10 UK papers in the last 18 months, they are certainly very overpriced, but often manage to find a cafe (UK run) where they have a copy of the days paper, so do get a free read, although as it's usually the Sun or Mirror, not too sure how helpful that is.
