Given Makro has been around for ages I can't quite see the excitement of another cash and carry arriving - making us more like USA every day...

Ok , a secondary link in the post explains that there will be 250 new jobs created and an investment of a 100 million euros. That is more on the lines of a "Game Changer" for the locals.
I have shopped at the UK version of Costco, I found it to be more targeted at the larger consumers.

They're quite optimistic on the opening date, which has already been delayed once. The haven't even broken ground on the site yet. It's very well positioned to help the other businesses nearby as it's next to a retail and leisure complex which suffers from low footfall.

Interesting that they chose a site on Juan Roig's commute.
