You can take an ITV up to a month before it's due and the date of the renewal will be 13 (or 25) months later so there is absolutely no excuse for leaving it to the last minute !

And you don't HAVE to make an appointment, you can just turn up and queue and if you're there at opening time you can be in and out quicker than those who do have appointments !

You must also carry the current ITV report - not just the Ficha Tecnica with the stamp in it.

I have been told that it is possible but not necessarily at all ITV stations. Some also set aside a block of time for people without appointments. For example I know of one place that has Thursday evenings set aside for this. So as usual in Spain the answer is probably "it depends on the area".

In Malaga you can turn up, but they dont garentee that you will be seen. Ive sat there for 6 hours before... and one time i sat there all day.. and didnt get seen.. and i had the next number..

Its always best to make an appointment.
