Hi Maryann

My husband has just started work at Jerez airport and we are all moving down to El Puerto de Santa Maria on 1st April - when are you hoping to move?

Hi

David has his interview/go see at European Flight training around the 26th April, ( we are trying to set it up now) as an instructor.
I have no idea were we will end up as I am still fact finding at the moment. I will be coming over with him on 25 th April for a couple of days to look around. Any adice on house hunting or schools would be great. We need to rent to start with and I have 5 year old I need to put in school.
I have had some great advice form this site, so now when I come over I have some leads to follow up.
I am thinking of looking at Chiclana and have also been told to go to bills bar as well.
I have few other places to check out.

What does your husband do at the airport? Do you work? do you have children?

Hi Maryann

Spookily enough he works for Flight training Europe as an Instructor! They have been great -they have a Welfare Officer to help with things like bank accounts, residency numbers, housing and schools etc. I will be out there when you come so could help with anything you need. My husband is back on Sunday until we go out on the first so if you want to PM me your telephone number I could get him to call your husband and have a chat. We have three children so I too will be looking for schools when I get there.

My main advice, as would most, when looking around Chiclana, is to ensure the place you buy is not in a white zone (and is the other brown ?- please correct me if I am wrong), I presume you will be buying a resale, in which case ask to see the electricity bills.

I could recommend my solicitor if you want to pm me for his details. I haven't completed yet, and I have been at this for quite a while now, but I have been buying off plan.

We have been there now quite a few times with our 7 and 5 year old. As some one else said, all the restaurants seem to like children. I have found the more interesting beaches for them off the cliffs at Roche, as there are rock pools, just like we have around Torquay/Newquay etc.

Perhaps they mean Browns Bar which is in Chiclana, although never been.

This is the chap. I sent you a Private Message in case you needed any help.
For those confused about the whereabouts of 'Bill's Bar' , it is otherwise called Bar Plaza Colon which is close to the centre of El Puerto de Santa Maria and not far from the river. Bill has run and managed the bar for about 20 odd years. He has lived in Puerto all this time and is familiar with the comings and goings. he has organised a 'quiz evening' which has encouraged local Spanish and extranerojs. The difficult questions on English history are usually answered by the Spanish ladies !

I do not wish to sound negative or facetious, but I think your website does not provide much information about your office and especially your experience. You appear to call yourselves 'solicitors' however are you registered as ABOGADOS and do you have professional qualifications for legal matters ?
