Default New golf course - Isla Cristina/Villa Antonia

I've been hearing rumours about a new golf course planned near Villa Antonia which is about 3km north of Isla Cristina on the CDL, but I'm trying to find out more info, such as when it will be built? exactly where? who by? etc.

Does anyone have any insider info about this? Or where would be a good place to start to find out about golf courses planned for the future?

I am sure they will build as many as they can with the ridiculous charges for use they can get
Would you pay the same in UK ?

Take a look at the Plan General de Ordenación Urbanística for the local areas. Normally available on CD or online from the Ayuntamientos .

2 at Lepe/La Antilla
1 or 2 at Villablanca
1 at El Rompido

Plus at least 4 just across the border at Villa Real De Santo Antonio/Castro Marim including the 2 at Monte Rei.

So is this one at Villa Antonia/Isla Cristina just a myth?

I tried looking at the Plan General de Ordenación Urbanística but it really isn't an easy thing to read.

I've been trying to organise a small society trip to Valencia / Alicante area for next year and have been really suprised by the green fees, especially nearer Oliva / Denia. Eight six euros for one of them! Green fees at my club in the UK are £15

Dunno what I'm going to do for Golf when I get there
I was hoping to play at least every week, but won't be able to afford that kind of cost.

What do you lot do? I saw theres a society network in the CB News, but I guess that doesn't cost much less.

I bought a life-long share at my club, Escorpion in Valencia for 23,500€ in 2003. The green fees are an extra 1,300€ per annum. So I can play every day for 25€ per week. Compared to the pay as you play 80€.

At the time, it was a huge amount of money to invest, but it has paid off. The shares are now valued at 46,000€, of which the club take a 6,000€ transfer fee.
