Well, I agree with you to a point, I do make some first impressions based on the cars people drive. For instance, red ferrari = small dick. Porsche = small dick and bad taste. Anything with a spoiler = small dick, small brain and small wallet. And bad taste.

But leaving the knob cars aside, I (a female) make absolutely no first impressions based on car driven. Skoda v Mercedes? Nothing, zip. Absolutely no image of the driver is conjured up in my head whatsoever until he steps out of the vehicle. It's definitely a man thing!!

All I like to see is a sensible car and well driven. The make is irrelevant.

I agree on the knob cars ,grown (sic) out of them years ago , may get back into them when I have a mid life crisis or even an end of life crisis

So whats a girls problem in a "knob car"? small tits?

God knows! It's not something you see every day, but I must admit when I see a female in a knob car I do wonder what is driving them. (pun intended!).

Well, what can one say? I've never been out with ladies who drive Ferraries, Porsches or cars with spoliers.

No that's not true, I went out with a lady who drove an escort with a spoiler, but she was of a normal size.

Blimey, there's some experience on this forum!

Mine was the square bodied one dont remember the year of engine but it cost 15 quid if I remember right , had a bloody great hole in the passenger floor.

If only I`d have kept it ...it would be worth at least .......15 quid

When I first came to Spain I was going to buy an Audi A4 convertible or a Saab 9-3 convertible. Then I began to notice that everyone I saw who drove those cars look like knobs

I actually like the old Porches from the 70s and 80s they look really fun and cool. It's when someone steps out of a new one that they look smarmy.

I find it difficult now to get emotional about any new cars, they are so boring. I've been thinking of buying a car for 3 years now and can't summon up the will to part with the money. So I stick with my reliable old banger, a Seat Cordoba, the ugliest car of all time!

My first car was an A35 and I loved it until my husband smashed it up. I nearly divorced him.

Without doubt the best engine IMO & I rebuilt mine from the shell up with a lot of Special Tuning Abingdon parts.

It was heavily modified .... I still have no idea how I afforded it.
It was white when I bought it.

It also had a roof chop and was possibly 'channelled' as well, in as much as it may even have been a proper 'Mini Sprint'.!
