In addition to the white knuckle zipline planned between Sanlucar and Alcoutim (http://www.huelvainformacion.es/arti.../tirolina.html), the Asociacion Transfronteriza (Atas) is now studying the feasibility of a cable car linking the two towns. Each cabin would carry eight passengers. The routes being considered are: between the two castles; between the castle of Alcoutim and the windmills of Sanlucar; between the castle of Sanlucar and the 'posada' of Alcoutim.

Secondly, a company in Isla Cristina has been awarded a grant to adapt its installations so that they can be opened to the public who can then observe the traditional methods used in the production of salt. They also plan to build a hide for watching birds so good news for twitchers!
