Are Germans bad? No, it's just the culture

Plus the fact that they cannot forgive us for winning two world wars.

the guy in question is not german, he is of some nationality but not sure what, possibly Arabic...

I'm just going to go to court on Wednesday, my lawyers is costing me 300 euro but worth every penny if that guy thinks he can push over people like that. I would prefer not to spend money and use the court supplied people but I just want this nonsense over...it's unbelievable really and I will just tell the truth over this 1 minute conversation dispute!! Thanks for advice all... I just can't understand how it got to court so quickly, maybe he's worried I will be leaving to go back to Uk soon and managed to get something like this pushed through quickly, no idea, the thought of denouncing him I can't even bear the thigh of wasting another moment on him, what will be said will be said in court I hope... I will let you know thte outcome!

Of course the important question is was the Ferrari a V8 or a V12?

If it was a V12 I would happily go to sleep listening to it revving!

As for scratching a Ferrari deliberately I would cut my hand off first!

I would have been down there like a shot begging a ride.

But then I suppose I am a sad old petrolhead!

Best of luck with it - I don't think he has any sort of case.

(memorable not only for good acceleration but also for catching fire in a multi storey car park in Lowestoft the day we went to buy my engagement ring. Multiple fire engines because of high risk. Ultimately divorced!)

Back in 1980 before the motorway arrived in Spain I did a one way hire Valencia to Algeciras in one.
It was the most comfortable car I had ever had the pleasure to drive

As I approached - perhaps 300meters behind him , he abruptly pulled into the left lane for no obvious reason, apparently in an attempt to block me from passing? I don't know what he was thinking, but since he was only driving about 80km/h, it caused me to slam on my brakes, slowing in only enough time to end up about 10m behind him.

It's illegal in Germany to pass on the right, so I flashed my headlights to let him know I wanted to pass. He refused. I flashed again. He refused. So I pulled up within about 5m and tooted my horn. He refused.

At this time, his passenger (presumably his wife or girlfriend) proceeded to write my licence number down, making obvious gestures to let me know that she was doing so. By now they had slowed to about 50km/h.

Fed up, I decided to just pass the guy on the right to avoid any further conflict. As we passed by, my irritated wife gave them the finger.

Are you German? Your behavior seems to be very petty and quite aggressive.

He has since parked his car in the middle of complex in the shared car park, I guess also so he can see it. Shame really my boys used to be super excited to see his car there, and the sad thing is I'm not fussed really about the noise he just annoyed me that one night and I thought I would pop down and see what kind of guy he was!! Clearly not a nice one!!
so long as you make sure your solicitor understands that this was the last time of many incidents and that once again he had woken up both you, all of your children, causing you untold stress driving you to make a totally uncharacteristic outburst. So much so that you left the house in your night clothes and without telling your husband to confront this gentleman, putting yourself at risk.

other things have also been suggested by others so you should be able to give solicitor plenty of ammunition

good luck

Threatening to kill you is a far more serious offence than you threatening to scratch his hunk of metal.

(Sigh)

I think most people would attempt to pass someone travelling 50km/h on the motorway. I suspect even you would get a bit miffed if the driver was intentionally blocking you from passing, and then attempted to collect €500 from you for displaying your irritation about it.

Just out of curiosity, would you happen to be one of those biking enthusiasts who always ride 4 abreast in the middle of a busy road, refusing to move to the side when the line of cars behind them attempt to pass?

This story sounds so unlike the usual ones where it is so difficult to bring something to court. How is it coming to court so quickly. The person we have problems with told my OH he was going to kill him.Maybe we should have gone to the police straight away and reported that at the time and got the scumbag into court that way.

This is just a silly car regardless of its value.

Good luck to the OP though but Im sure youll be ok.
