I am looking for advice on properties in murcia golf resorts
which are used by full time residents
which are closer to large towns/beaches (within walking distance)
are they close to public transport network
how much does it cost for a round of golf (do they have special rates for residents)
I know it's a few questions but they just keep coming to me, so thought I'd ask, thanks in advance

but have you considered visiting, talking to those who live there and obtaining the information first hand ??
I appreciate this is a forum but it cannot be the foundation of all information for all parts of Spain.

I only asked due to the fact that I want as much information as possible before deciding where to visit prior to purchasing, I would appreciate any honest recommendations instead of telling me what I already know, I thought the whole
point of this forum was to ask questions ??

Sounds as if Camposol meets all your requirements. Just google it and you will be overwhelmed with the relevant info.

Don't be put off by people who have probably never been there. I've lived here many years and you've got everything here, nearness to beach, mountains, forest, interesting places to visit, shops, restaurants etc. There are many properties at good prices, and you will be very near that golf course!

thanks again, it does sound like a great value area for the money, is there a decent bus service or do you need a car, as we don't really want to have to buy a car

There is a bus service, but Camposol is a big urbanisation, and the service does not extend to all areas, so you would have to walk to the bustop which is a fair distance away if you live in the far sector.
Even if you lived near the shops etc, or in the surrounding villages you would still need a car for the hospital etc about an hour away, as the buses although regular aren't that frequent, and if you had an early appt, you would need a car. If you wanted to go to the big shopping condominiums, you would definitely need a car or a good neighbour, likewise for visiting places of interest. Taxis are horrendously expensive. In this area you really do need a car, motorbike or moped or. It's not like Benidorm, where you would be able to get away without a car.

I googled it, came up with this. I remembered then there was a heated thread sometime back, new people joining the forum to tell us all was well there.

It gave the impression that lots of homes were affected, which was untrue. It also never mentioned that some people had been digging round the foundations of their house, causing problems. The situation is very different here now. In an urbanisation of 5000 houses anywhere in the world, you would expect problems in a small percentage, and that's what it is- SMALL. Other urbanisations in Spain have fared much worse.
Thousands have bought and sold in the years since, with no problems at all, but there does seem to be a group of people, who have never lived on Camposol, or even visited who seem hell bent on running it down. Why? Is there own place so perfect? I've been to other places in Spain, and Camposol compares well.
I advise the OP to come and see for himself, and make his own mind up.

I don't live there so I can't fully comment on prices etc. but I do know that property prices have been reduced by quite a lot over the past couple of years.
Might be worth a look

thank you for the responses, I think the transport links wil be the issue rather than issues with houses, as Neptuno says no house is perfect and at the prices we are looking at I wouldn't expect perfect and issues can always be resolved.
I will have a look at Villamartin area too thanks
