Movistar PAYG mobile phone problem.
I have a PAYG Spanish phone/sim card. I received an advertising e mail from Movistar which I cannot get rid of ! I do not have my phone set up for emails, calls and text only. When I try to open the e mail it gives me the reply box, I never get the full e mail and nothing on the options allows me delete the mail. Can anyone suggest how to get the little envelope sign off my phone ? thank you.

Try deleting your sent box, or in box?

Unfortunately it is an e mail not a text and I have cleared the logs and all text that came from Movistar. It is called a notification and no where can I find any reference to them in the settings of my phone ? It shows as an envelope on the top left of my screen and also where incoming text messages are shown but when you open the inbox nothing there. I have tried switching on and back on.... no luck ?

You must have an email account set up in order to receive emails.

Samsung Galaxy Ace GT S5830i and definately no e mail acount set up on it.

Did you take the sim out of the phone to see if that fixes it..

No I have not as would not like to risk losing the saved messages.
