Moving to Spain.. Any tips?
Hi, we are moving to Spain from the UK in June/July, to Castellar De La Frontera. There's me, my husband (27/31) and 2 children (4&7). We're lucky because we have a lot of family over there but was hoping you could give me any advice as you have moved there rather than been born there..
My main question is about the car!! Our car is on finance currently so want to take it over, until the finance is paid then we will sell and get a Spanish one. But what are the rules with English plates? How much is it to get them changed? I've tried to google but conflicting answers!!
Did you get your NI number before you went or when you got there?
Healthcare - how does it work? Do you have to have been a resident for so long or can you automatically use the Dr's/hospitals if needed?
What sort of price are you looking for a second hand scooter/moped? Where's the best place to look?
Sorry to bombard! We are coming over in April and want to be organised as we are only there for 2 days!
Thank you!!!

Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderator who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are usually friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge about the issues of living in Spain. I hope that you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
