I'm new to this so apologies if this is not the correct place.

I am hoping to move to Spain, Alicante region in June of next year. I have a wife and 2 kids aged 8 and 5 and was hoping for some advice.

The main area I am concerned about is making sure the kids go to a good school. Can anyone advise of good schools and the best way to go about getting into them. We are wanting to put them into local schools so they integrate with the locals and hopefully pick up the language easier. Are we better picking an area to live then look for a good school or find a good school then find a place to live?

I'm hoping to start up my own business which I will be traveling for, although I see Benidorm as the place I am going to start. Can anyone recommend any areas to look at to live? We were considering Alicante city and then I can just travel to work, but we are open to all options and would love advice from others who have done this. We don't want to be too rural somewhere close to amenities but nothing too touristy.
