Hi There,
We are moving to Alicante in Jan 09 and wondered if anyone had any info on long term property lets and commercial units.
Thanks
Catherine

I live in the region and renting from great lady who not only helped me with bank accounts and other stuff as I didn't speak any Spanish, but also gives me her convertible when she is not using it as I don't really need a car on daily basis.
She has properties that belong to her family all over the place so no worries about agents etc. Worked for me. If you want more info send me a PM as I am not sure if I am allowed to post links here.
But on the other topic, I found something here related to "Spanish way of life" and although I am used to most things by now but seeing a pregnant woman smoking etc. is still an issue with me. I was happy to see I am not alone:

Good luck with moving. People are great by the way. Loud but friendly.
