Default Moving Soon

I am moving to Valencia on 4th December next week is my last week at work and I can't believe that I'm a bit uposet about this I think it's nerves or something it's going to be weird going somewhere new and having to get a job and meet new people. Has anyone else moved over recently and had the same worries? I'm excited about going just a bit sad about leaving my friends and family although my mum is already over there which will be good. I'm taking my dog with me so I will have one friend at least I'm just pretty shy when it comes to making the first move. Anyway it would be nice to hear about other peoples experiences.

hi there

good luck with the move, Im sure everyone goes through the same last minute nerves so dont worry and you will have a bit of a head start with your mum already being here. Im not in Valencia itself but about 40 mins away, sure there will be people here closer you could hook up with

Thanks I think I know everything will be fine once I get there I'm just not looking forward to the goodbyes. My mum seems to love it and I know that it will be a better quality of life in the long run. I have done it before I was brought up between here and Canada but I think it's easier when your younger because you don't seem to isolte yourself as much.

Hello lisa24, welcome to BE , I'm sure most people that make the move are anxious and wonder whether they are doing the right thing, it is after-all a life changing experience.I'm sure you will love it once settled and it will be lovely for your mum to have you over in Spain, from what I have read on here lots of young people have made the move, I wish you the very best of luck with finding some work and the move and just think its got to be a damn sight warmer than in Scotland Oh and I'm sure your friends will love to visit you
