Cool Moving Back to Costa del Sol

Brit guy here: Lived in Los Boliches from 1999-2006. Now in Thailand. Moving back at some stage. 58 years old, no kids, single bloke. Had NIE and residencia before. I also have the EU health card, expires 2015. Have some Social Security records because worked at legit. teaching in 2004-5.

Question:

I have a cardio stent. I know the tablets I must take. I am stable, but need occasional check-up/ECG.

Previously was able to join the health centre, and had a GP (Los Boliches). What are we entitled to now? Emergencies only? Or still have normal GP and normal pharmacy? Or is that only at age 60 or 65? Spanish people in UK can get GPs as EU citizens, correct?

Thanks

Paulo

Default Re: Moving Back to Costa del Sol

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.
