Movin' on out!

Well, it's taken years longer than expected, but I'm finally off. I've spent the last year and a half sorting problems and clearing debt, and now my son is in a position to take over the business, so I am now redundant and can retire.

Got my xmas flight (day after tomorrow) already booked, and hopefully when the return flight date comes in January, I shall be tossing the ticket on the fire. When I do I shall drink a toast to all of you on here who strive to be where you can be happy, and to all those from here who have made it.

May we all escape the 3 year curse and be happy where we want to be.

If I don't post much, well it will be because I am busy weeding and picking the dog crap up from between the orange trees. Or maybe it will be because I have just gone fishing.

All the best and thanks to all that have traded info and pleasantries.

Best of luck.

Do call back once in a while - as you usually have something worth saying.

Hi Bil,

Welcome to my part of the world; When I retired in 2003, I gave myself one year, after which, I went and sat on a mountain top and "Contemplated my navel".

It was an easy decision to stay - no contest really, the weather and people - what more can I say

Well done Bil, not before time. You´ll be really happy in our little corner of Andalucia, I´m sure.

I was fortunate enough to get over before retirement, but I clearly remember the mountain top, in fact there were two.

There was one in the UK where some soul searching took place, but that was on a small mountain, but with bigger problems.

A year or so later, I sat on a much bigger mountain in Spain, but with smaller problems, and stayed.

Good Luck, Bil. (The officers would be William, surely?)
