Motorway shut due to fire

Due to the fire in Portugal they have closed the motorway at the Monte Gordo turn off.

Gosh... Theres nothing but awful news everywhere it seems... Flooding, fires, Afghanistan, CV19 etc etc etc....

This is too close for comfort. Ive heard that there are thousands in total blocked in total on each side of the bridge... I suppose CE arrivals in Faro need to cross the border at the 'new bridge' further up from Mertola, and come down the other side.

Apparently the motorway is still shut between Monte Gordo and Tavira with restrictions on the old N125 to help firefighters move quickly .
As of 0830 Portuguese time.
