Wow, lots of information and lots pf things to try. Some sound like fun and some sound a little painfull, althoght depending on what floats your boat they could be described as fun too....

Hmmm so many cures, maybe I should get all of the lotions and potions, put them in a really hot bath and jump in. At least I,ll come out all pink and rosy and smelling nice lol.

I did hear about a machine to get rid of them from outside, but I have not been able to find out any information about it. Maybe it was just cure number 724 "drink large amounts of Gin and tonics" working and was just talk..

That`s the type that got two of us when we were putting a fence up around a school about 6 years ago.
They were in the long grass and we got about 40 to 50 bites each on our legs, you cant feel them until you see them on you and wipe them off, then the blood runs out.
We washed our bites with pure alcohol, I then left mine and they healed up fairly quick, but Steve spent about 30€`s on potions and cream, his bites swelled up and were itchy for about 2 weeks.

We have a plug in called Kill Paff. You can have doors and windows open and the pecky critters don´t come in. We also us it outside when we´re eating on the porche and it send them up to the ceiling. :thumbup: You need to plug it in about 30 minutes beforehand.

Hola,

Thanks to olivia for the advice on Halley lotion (can be purchased from a farmacia).
Citronella based sprays, colognes, lotions as mentioned above include the Nenuco brand (credit to Same Difference for this suggestion). Not sure if Nenuco antimosquito (con factor solar 8) is still around. (I love the smell of this particular baby cologne :thumbsup:)
SSS (Skin So Soft) by Avon: make sure you try the "Soft & Fresh" Replenishing Dry Oil Body Spray (Aqua coloured bottle). There are other SSS variations, and I believe this particular one is recommended by Forest Rangers etc.
Garlic: thanks, you reminded me to take my daily tablet! (Trying it as a cure for cracked skin on my fingertips, and lowering of cholesterol...)

After being bitten we use a gel or spray called Insecticum.

It numbs and calms bites. For us its a lifesaver if we get bitten. However this year so far "Null bites"
