If you have quite a way to travel its better going during the week as they only have deliveries Mon - Fri so the shelves can be pretty empty over the weekend. Also if its a UK bank holiday deliveries are limited.
Nothing worse than driving miles to find they don't have what you want.

Where abouts is Morrisons anyway. Did not see it when I last went walkabout. Is meat cheaper there than on the costa d sol. So expensive in the supermarkets.

I don't think meat's cheaper exactly but the cuts are usually different to the way the Spanish do things and you can get most British food if there's anything you really miss...

The meats are so much better especially the lamb chops and the beef. And they have jellied ells. Hope this helps. Johnny

Pies are tasty, baked on the premises. Steak n' Ale, steak n' kidney, chicken etc. Best pastry I have tasted and about half price to those excuses for an English pie in Spain. They freeze well too. Fruit ones too, rhubarb, blackberry. Granary loaves are really cheap.

The fact that Gibraltar was a member of the EU before Spain applied for membership was the only reason for the frontier being opened in 1983.
The EU commissioners would not allow a closed frontier between EU countries.
However anyone who uses this frontier on a regular basis will know that Spain still endeavors to make the crossing as difficult as possible even to her own citizens.

I went last Friday, 40 min queing each way , due to high volume of traffic more than anything else, it seems no different than the Andorra frontier.

Depends on the day/time. A few weeks ago I went on a Thursday, about 5 mins to get in (10am ish) and straight out at approx 1.30. Friday would have been a bad day as the Spanish had started the puente.
Bacon is cheap at Morrisons, especially when they have the two for one packet offers.

My children have me buy the large tin of quality street. I buy a couple of bottles of real devon scrumpy cider. You have to serve it real cold. I tend to share it with my brother when he calls around. And he always seems to know when i have jellied ells and scumpy. I have always been under the impression that you can bring any value of food products out without paying duty. Only to read on another post that you or I can only have foods to the amount of 150 pounds. Then i must be classed as a food smuggler. I must spend over 12000 pounds a year on foods alone. I hope no customs are reading this post. God bless. Johnny
