I do not currently hold a full u.k. driving licence but I hold a provisional, how do I go about getting a moped so I can get from a-b.
I am not sure if I need to take a test or apply for any licence.
Anyone able to help me here

UK provisional licences are not valid outside the UK.
You will need to apply for a "licencia de conducion" in Spain.
There are details here http://www.dgt.es/tramites/conductores/licencias.htm

go down to your local moped shop in the uk and they will put you right if you say you want to buy one.

What does a moped shop in the UK know about Spanish authority to ride mopeds? Not a lot one would imagine.
Come to Spain and ask at a Spanish moped shop and you might get the correct answer!!!!!!

I might be here for a few weeks but not long and as I have not passed my driving test this could be easier than trying to learn spanish to pass there test

If you go here:
http://www.google.co.uk/language_tools?hl=en
...and scroll down to:
"Translate a web page"
....put in the web address and presto
Alternatively you can use AltaVista here:
http://babelfish.altavista.digital.com/
and do the same.
The translations are not brilliant, but it gives you a very rough idea of the translation
