Default Monty Don - Spanish Gardens

I belatedly (my sister kept reminding me and I forgot) caught up with Monty Don in Spain last night BBC2 - what an excellent programme - Monty was really taken with gardens in Asturias, Galicia, Pais Vasco then he travelled by train (commented on Spain's excellent modern fast rail network - even though Bilbao-Barcelona is not AVE) to Barcelona and was equally taken by gardens (including rooftop) there.

All in all a very enjoyable programme and a good advert for Spain - worth catching up with for those with access to BBC iPlayer.

I recommend too. Three very interesting programmes from different parts of Spain. Includes everything from allotments, vertical gardens in office buildings, private gardens, historical gardens and public parks. Presented in the very low key style that he always has. Delightful.

Yes, delightful - an excellent word to describe it - thanks!

It has inspired me to make the trip up to the other coast and continue to explore this fabulous country.

Many thanks.
We don't get BBC iplayer, but I saw some of the clips of the programme on the computer.

I have an interesting book called "Hidden gardens of Spain" by Eduardo Mencos, and which includes the "Palacio de Oca".
