Money Exchange
Hi, i have just brought an apartment in cost Del sol and i have a small mortgage with Bank inter, i want to set up a direct debit from the UK but each time i send money from the UK via HIFX i get charged 12 euros from Bankinter they are saying its an urgent transfer this is my reply from Bankinter when i asked
If you send target (urgent) transfer, Bankitner charge 12 euros fee to receive it.
In future send normal transfer in euros (up to 50.000 euros no fee)
how do i send normal using a currency exchange company
Any help would be great

Re: Money Exchange
Try Send Money Abroad | CurrencyFair Online P2P International Money Transfers, they charge a flat fee of 3€ for individual transfers at a very good exchange rate (1/2 of 1% off quoted bank rate)
They have recently added the facility to pay regular amounts such as mortgage repayments, although I have not used that facility myself.

I think missile is right I used HIFX to pay of our mortgage and got no receiving charges also used to have regular monthly payments with differing currency exchange Co's with no receiving charges. I currently use currency fair and as has been mentioned have found them to be excellent.

Re: Money Exchange
Ive transferred small and large amounts with HIFX over the years. I used (originally) Banco De Valencia, then BBVA and finally Sabadell. Sabadell were the only ones I used that didnt charged with. Trouble is, if you open such an account with another bank to gain free receipt, and then transfer it on line to Bank Inter free, you will get charged for a non resident account.
As an afterthought ..... I also used currencies direct for a monthly fixed sum and got no charges from them, or my receiving bank. You really need to speak to Bank Inter though and ascertain from them what constitutes an urgent transfer
