I will be getting my wife a Mobility Scooter and having it sent to Spain, my question is, it will be for use on roads and pavements. the road between Chiclana and Pago Del Humo, where we live, there are no pavement on this road. So what is the highway code for a mobility scooters in Spain, to drive on this type road? Any help would be grateful

AFIK there is no legislation, but I would be careful. How busy is this road and do you feel it safe to use a mobility scooter on this road?

Most drivers will give her room, just as they would for a pedestrian and cyclist. If there are blind coners it may not be so easy for her to take avoiding action.

Lots of them appearing in the Alicante region these days and lots of local shops selling them new and secondhand. Some people are using them (in my opinion) very dangerously giving motorists very little chance of seeing them.

Hi, one little tip, buy a fluorescent jacket and drape it over the back of the seat, it makes you that bit more visible.

There are plenty of places in Spain to buy them, might well be cheaper then bringing from the UK.
