Default Mobile Phone Problem -Help

Sorry, nothing to do with Spain but a lot of knowledge on this site. Got a new Nokia 7360 off of ebay and everytime I try to phone from it, I get the beep, beep, beep sound as if it´s engaged or else it says error connectivity. Everything else is working so why can´t I phone on it. Oh yes I am on Vodafone.es but had no problems with my other phone from which I swopped the sim card over. Also how do I stop getting delivery reports every time I send a text?

The delivery report is just a phone/message setting that you need to change. Are you able to send text messages but not to make phone calls?

That sound very odd and I am not sure where you are either, but are you including the area code when you make a phone call?

In Spain and so no area code. It´s the same sim card I had in my old phone which worked perfectly.

The area code is included in the number.. the sim card is Spanish too right?.. I'd try a different sim card in that phone and if it doesn't work then you'll know that it's the phone.. I wonder if there is a setting on the phone preventing you from making phone calls..

Its a UK Phone? The problem may be Glynis that normally you can't have a Spanish sim card in a UK phone as it won't allow you to make calls.

I have a Nokia N70 with Vodaphone UK on 12 month contract, and I went to Vodaphone in Spain to get a new Spanish SIM. However it wouldn't work in the UK phone as VF ES say the phone has not been unlocked.

Therefore I now have two phones for the moment

You can have it unlocked, many phone shops do it for a small fee..

He says he send text msgs so it doesn't look like it's locked?

You are joking!!!! I bought it as an unlocked phone from ebay.co.uk specifically to use over here. It was bad enough that I got really excited right at the end of the bidding and ended up bidding 70,000 GBP for it and nearly had a heart attack and now I can´t even call on it.

Take it to a phone shop and they'll unlock it for you. They normally need to know what network it was on and in what country though..

I left my phone in a shop in Spain to have it unlocked and when I went back to collect it they told me that they hadn't been able to do it. I didn't mention that I'd bought it in the UK or what network it was on, and as soon as I did they were able to unlock it straight away..

Sorry but your right, I just went on site for you and got this answer :

THERE ARE NO CODES FOR THESE MODEL PHONES, ALSO THERE IS NO SOFTWARE OR UNLOCKING UNITS THAT CAN UNLOCK THEM - THE ONLY WAY IS TO CONTACT YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER, BUT IT WILL COST.
