I've had the same speed of action from them as well, it's worthwhile knowing, that they 'expire' your application after 3 to 6 months UNLESS you keep on at them, so people who have claimed that they have been waiting years, it's often that your request has expired, and you need to make a new one. This info was in a local paper, someone had complained to the paper IT columnist, who has a regular 'telefonica' bit, and the paper rang telefonica, who said that they had no record of request as it had expired, the people put a new one in, and were fixed up in a couple of days.

I know it's possible to get an English-speaking operator at Telefonica, if you're patient, but they still respond much quicker to a Spanish voice.
