Hi All My hubby has just received pension. He has been on my card til now. Does he have to apply for his own or can he stay on mine? Thanks

My husband was originally down as my dependent but when he became a state pensioner he had to get the relevant paperwork from DWP and apply here so that he was in the system independently.

I don't think it is compulsory. I am still down as a dependent, 7 years after getting my own E121.

I will get round to it sometime, but strictly speaking INSS have no idea that I am entitled to have an E121 (S1) as just because you reach UK retirement age does not mean that you are automatically entitled to one.

Same here my husband was on mine and when he was 65 we left it as is and he has been treated in hospital so doesnt seem to be a problem
