Hi again
Sorry still not got 3 posts so has to be on the public forum.
Got your message, just to let you know it is not a commercial event, we lose money at the weekenders, it is a social event and normally attended very well by the xpat communities albeit the last 3 were in Orlando.
We run this once a year for the love of the music, any money made in the past has gone towards bringing 60s artists along for the weekend to meet the UK fans, the past 3 years we have had to put our own cash into doing this, this year we have already lost 1000 euros due to the amount we have had to pay for the venue, its what we call a big party where our friends new and old can get together and enjoy Northern soul and hopefully meet some of the people that made it 4o+ years ago.
Might I suggest that you perhaps intorduce an entertainments/whats on sub forum.
I also note that some threads for shutters, removals, airline travel have all had what you would term commercial websites put on there for all to see and use which have been recommended by users, are these not then classed as commercial advertising.
Not trying to be pedantic but if you dont want any commercial website on your site then there should not be any commercial websites on your site irrespective of how they got there.
Like I asked in my last post, any help you can give me as to how I can get the message out there without upsetting the forum moderators would be gratefully received, am I allowed to tell people about a music weekend and let them have my email address, no website or anything. HHHEEELLLPPP???
Many thanks

I dont own it
I have no commercial interest in it
I do this voluntarily, and all I do is enforce the rules the site owners have laid down.
Many of the commercial sites that you mention have been posted in reponse to a posters question as personal recomendations, not as unsolicited advertising posts
You have now had two mods tell you that unsolicited advertising or commercial urls (which one of your was) are not allowed on the site
If you think a section as you suggested would be a good idea then maybe use the contact us button and suggest it - if they agree its a good idea then it will mean we wont have to remove it
