Hi, can anyone tell me where the Mercadona supermarket is in Ayamonte. We visited Ayamonte on Monday from Portugal and were very impressed with all the lovely shops, cafes and restaurants around the port area. We drove around for some time but couldn't find Mercadona. Is it very far from the port area?

Quite a bit. It is in La Plaza shopping mall out of town. One route is along past the bus station on your left to the roundabout 2nd exit of it and go straight across the all roundabouts till you see the first filling station on your right, it is next to that.

Mercadona is on the main road to Portugal when you are driving from the center (or when you drive to the center from Portugal!), next to the BP petrol station. Regards.
