Re: Meet up!
Yep. Or, cook very lightly, then add chillies, cream and a little curry powder......
One of my odd snacks is raw cauliflower. The florets are not unlike almonds, but while 100g of almonds is 600 odd calories, cauliflower is barely 35. I love a really nice lamb or chicken tikka samosa and eat a lot of raw cauliflower with it. Gives you a filling meal, lots of mouth feel and minimal calories. |

Samosas are deep fried? Would you not be better off with just the filling if you're counting calories??

Re: Meet up!
By that logic, why not just eat cabbage?
The intelligent way to me seems to be to strike a sensible balance between indulgence and abstinence, while carefully observing what calories you consume. Debs, it's all about balancing calories and eating pleasure. At 600 calories per 100g, thety are a very expensive treat. Cauliflower florets are a pretty good alternative. Try them in a coleslaw. I love coleslaw, but the mayonnaise needed packs a punch! |

You said 'prepare to be dazzled with a full break down of the calorific value of a samosa!' Of course, you could always try posting something relevant?? |
