Hi all!
Haven't been on here for ages (been busy buying a house :thumbsup:) but am ever so glad I looked today! A meet-up is a great idea SD :thumbup: I'd love to come, but am working on my shy O/H at the moment. We've been looking at coach and train possibilities from our area, in case I end up coming on my own............but it looks like a bit of a nightmare journey! The date sounds good, because it's very close to my birthday Tim, bring your little one and we'll celebrate together :) Lots of things for me/us to consider at the moment: I might be working by then? (Have applied for a fruit picking job!!) Are dogs allowed in the cave houses? (If we both come, we've got no-one here to look after our dog) Not sure how the travel options will work out?? Love the idea and am very interested, so put me in the "hope so" camp please ;) It would be so good to meet up with you crazy lot! Are you thinking of just for the one night (Saturday?) SD, I'll PM you soon with a couple more questions! |

Ok, Spain is a big country and to meet in Granada we have got a 3 hour plus drive. But I think its worth it because I would love to meet you all and also put names to faces.

Maybe it's not such a good idea to try and come up with alternative venues for this meet-up, now that several people have said that they can come?? As you say, 3 hours travelling doesn't seem unreasonable - and Granada seems to be fairly central for a lot of people who post on here. Maybe if this meet-up proves successful, future ones could be rotated between places like Sevilla to the west or Murcia to the East? That way, everyone takes a turn at travelling a bit further, one time or another. Obviously, not everyone would be able to go to EVERY meet-up; but at least they'd be spread about the place a bit (not much help to people in Galicia though! :() This particular meet-up in June involves about a 6 hour journey for me, but I'm really hopeful that I'll be able to make it :) SD, just noticed that you'll probably be taking your dog with you. Do you know whether dogs are allowed in the cave houses? (Or shall I ask Mitzy?) |

It's a huge country, and there's nowhere that's perfectly central for everyone.
