How expensive is a yearly dental & medical checkup if one is not an EU resident?
Is there a dental & medical plan for non-EU resident? If yes, how much does it cost?
Any comments will be helpful.

I can only comment on ours, wgich applies to a retired couple and just the Spanish NHS. I have NO COMPLIANT whatsoever, we have had no language problems, but did have a translator with us for a first visit to a specialist at the hospital, he spoke good english, so we have not used a translator since. Our GP speaks good english,. and if we have to see a different one my Spanish will just about get us by in any case. Speed and quality of service is excellent, I would venture to say better than the UK, and I worked in the UK NHS for 40 years.

We've had excellent experiences with the Valencian healthcare - great doctors at the GP practice (children get a proper paediatrician), A&E is swift and very thorough.
Only thing to add of course is that inland it's all entirely conducted in Spanish. Clearly, if you don't speak any Spanish - then you will need someone to interpret - when you're in pain isn't really the time to be thumbing through the old phrase book

I paid €45 for a filling, and the dentist was fantastic. Better than the UK one. I just had root canal work, didn't feel a thing, and it was €113. Back home a couple of fillings cost hundreds of pounds

Is there a medical plan in Spain for everyone (EU & non-EU residents) where you pay a monthly fee & when you see a doctor eg. yearly normal health checkup, you don't pay anything as this is covered by the plan. If there is one, how much is this plan? Thanks.

forhotspot. All dental is private, it does not matter where you are from. Those are the prices for all. Dentists of all nationalities on the costa blanca. If you take out private medical insurance depending on your policy, that could cover dental costs.
Insurance is international and you will need it if you want to become a resident and are non eu or under retirement age and not working. check google. exeter, bupa etc

I suppose you're from UK & this is the rate for EU resident. What about the rate for non-EU resident?

If you take out private health care with Sanitas, which incidentally is only about £60 a month for a couple in their mid fifties, I seem to remember that you can extend it to dental cover of sorts for about €86 a year.
I had a full medical when I moved here done privately (not through Sanitas) and that was about €300, blood tests, scans, the lot. I dont know how much, if anything, it would be through Sanitas

My only experiences of the medical service here is at our local doctors and they are wonderful. I was initially seeing the male doctor who happily wrote out my prescription when I provided him with all of the details from UK. Then I began to see the female doctor who decided that she was not happy with just writing out the prescription but wanted her own diagnosis so ordered blood tests and ECG which were all done at the surgery so no difficulties. Neither of the doctors speak English and the female one apologised and said that she found it too difficult to learn, I think this is why she is very patient with my Spanish.
I cannot fault the care and attention that I have received to date, however I was quite shocked this morning when I went to arrange a repeat prescription and found that the surgery was closed and no sign on the door to say when they will be open again. Fallas and Semana Santa really do have a huge effect on everything.

I payed £600 for that treatment a few years back in the UK.
Been to A&E once in Marbella excellent and most staff spoke English. Very efficient and quick seen to straight away and the place was packed solid.

We just had a 3 hour thunder storm here so thought it must arrive in all this, they usually pick a weird time to arrive.

Thanks searcher48 & Mitz for clarifying the dental but I'm still not clear about the yearly medical health checkup. Is this not covered by the Spanish National Health Service? Yearly health checkup like blood tests & scan are important as a preventive measure.
According to a site which I read, EU residents don't have to pay for the medical.
I dare not post the URL as I got into trouble with 1 of the mods & my post got deleted when when I tried to ask anyone for opinion of a site offering incentive to buy property from them.

OH had a wisdom tooth removed last summer by a dentist in Denia. Excellent service and state of the art equipment.
