Hi All. This is my first post on this forum. Would someone let me know if siesta in the afternoon is still observed. Fell for it a good few years ago in Valencia lol gone now. In martos 1/7 looking at houses hope to be there ft come sept/oct.

Vin, hi, I came to the area in March and I'll be here for a bit over a year. I've noticed most places close for siesta time so yes, it is still observed. The big 'Dia' supermarket in Martos doesn't close though.

Many thanks I did suspect as much but didn't want to be stuck with nowhere to go after looking at houses. May have to go to Jaen for a beer 😁

had a look at three in martos then couple in alcala. Liked an apt and a house in castlle de locubin.. Excellent actually but the apt was nipped from under so need to find a place for us with the cats but near house as the business:-(
