Default Manchester-Jerez

I have just heard from someone on another forum that the Monarch Manchester to Jerez route has been cancelled effective from 4.11.07. I have rung Monarch and this is correct and all existing bookings have been cancelled (They were previously booking into March)

I'm gutted, this was such a great route for us. They haven't really given it a fair chance have they?

what happens if you've already booked? Do you get transferred to another route or refunded?

No. It sounds like it has finished altogether. It seems strange for what seemed a popular route.

Airlines tend to sulk a lot. Chances are Manchester or Jerez granted a route to someone else and they are upset about it.

What is going on!!! Monarch have cut 2 days out from Manchester to Faro. They always went evry day and in the summer twice on some days. Also Jet2 are only going twice weekly for the winter from Manchester and Leeds. They have stopped Blackpool - Faro altogether till spring.
