Hi there
Unfortunatley we are about to hand the keys back to the bank. We were due to fly out Sunday to finalise but our Bank manager told us today we need the original NIE certificate to complete.
We have lost our originals but know our Numbers!
Anybody else have any experiance of 'dacion en pago' and if you needed to provide the original NIE certificates to complete the process.
If we definatley need them, anybody know how we can get the replacements immediatley?? or the quickest way possible??
Any help offered is appreciated.
Thanks

You may have to go through the original application procedure again. You will end up with the same numbers but it just takes a bit longer.

Hi Pazaz,
Sorry to hear of your plight; and that you have to hand your keys back. It should be a wake up call to everyone to get a photocopy of all your documents as it is always simpler to get another "original" whenever you an turn up with a photocopy. I even have a photocopy of my passport in every suitcase & carry-on bag. It costs peanuts - just a little time.
Anyway - enough of the sermon - Good Luck back in the UK, perhaps one day you could return to this forum and let us know what caused it all and how you subsequently got on.
