Looking for work in Benidorm
Hi all
I'm thinking of trying to live and work in Benidorm.
I would be trying for barwork in Irish or British pubs.
Common sense tells you the best time to try it would
be coming into summer season 2014, but my question
is this - What age range do they generally hire in bars
there? Everywhere else its all late teens early 20's.
Im a good bit above this age I would really appreiciate
any info you might have
Many thanks
Justin

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let me know if you need any further help.

Though I´m in a different area I think the theme in Spain is similar where ever you are.
The work you´re looking for is mostly seasonal.
From what I see around this area, age doesn´t seem to be an issue though you must expect long hours and low pay!
Don´t be put off by the pay as there is a quality of life to be had. Morning coffee and toast €2! And it´s great coffee
Depending on your flexibility, why don´t you take a cheap flight out here for a week and take a look around. Speak to bar owners and such like?
Due to the employment situation, I wouldn´t have thought you will receive much by way of positive feed back from other posters...
What ever you choose, like I say, good luck!

Thanks a lot for the info Stu, much appreciated
But I still don't think there's much point in trying it
at this time of year?
Many thanks for you're reply
