Re: Living in Spain - the good things!
Spanish men may not be sexy (they peak when they marry) but one good point about them is that they don't know the price of a bleeding carrot or sit looking at a computer screen to discuss food prices:p

I don't know, why would they do that:confused: |

You're in the wrong part of the country for Antonio Banderas lookalikes. He's from Benalmádena
You're more likely to get Fernando Alonsos or David Villas :) Haven't seen anyone to make me look twice. But the British men may not be considered the better looking but usually have something better - a sense of humour. Can't beat British humour eh? :D |

Now looking at the price of lamb, both here and in the UK, I would suggest there could be quite a substantial financial benefit from being familiar with the adjacent orifice, though I can assure you that after doing it on a regular basis for several weeks, you'd find it aint exactly the best skin care in the world,...indeed far from it. Now on the other hand if you had no desire or need to be quite so familiar with your sheepish friends and merely settled for running your hands through their woolie fleeces on a regular basis, then without doubt you would be truly amazed at the beneficial effects on your hands due to the soothing effects of the lanolin. |

Strange one, never heard of anyone able to earn a living from that particular practise, though it has been said that some do it for pleasure.

Re: Living in Spain - the good things!
......and you make me larf,..especially your last little sentence.
I mean who would want to live in a country where the bins are only emptied every second week? Its a wonder you haven't all died off, with black death or bubonic plague. Down here pal its much more civilised. Bins are emptied every day. Not only that but there are great bargains to be had if you get there early. Some folk even furnish their casas from the old basura,...others collect every day and set up S/H furniture stores. You can live of the land if you wish, with so much fruit and veg just growing wild. Lots of free accomodation, especially if you find yourself a nice little cosy cave. Dont worry about the recession,...leave your plastic cards back in blighty,...and the women here,...phew,...they are a class act pal,....not to be compared with your average East end slapper. Its all here on a plate,mate,...but if you prefer to sit there amongst your smelly old bins, and fork out arms and legs for the council tax,...while Gordon sends the whole darn country down the pan,....well,..best of luck pal,..you're welcome to it..... |

I have to say, you paint quite a colourful picture of Spain, could you tell me why you are here though. Apart from the obvious???:confused:

Re: Living in Spain - the good things!
Why am I here...maybe because I like it, warts and all. I just counteract people spewing statements like there are no yobs in Spain, you can live well on a pittance and many more which are totally unrealistic.
Of course all spanish women aren't fat (the ones from Madrid etc. are quite elegant). Andalucian women are shorter and more inclined to put it on, it's the Moorish genes. Neither are all British youths yobs. It is clearly evident that many posters on here don't read or watch spanish news. Either that or they prefer to supress what they know:blink: |
