Default Lithium batteries to Spain

Hi folks,
I want to send my Swytch e bike battery to Spain, it is for my Brompton ebike.
in the good old days I used to drive regularly using Brittany ferries, and it would have been easy! Does anyone know a good shipper of batteries or is anyone prepared to put it in their camper van and take it for me, I’m in the north west U.K. and my place is in Fuengirola in Spain.

if you know a company or can help me I would appreciate it, obviously I am prepared to pay.

( the bike itself I can check on as luggage)

regards
Al

I presume you're concerned about restrictions on flying with lithium batteries? .... Many lithium batteries can be carried on to aircraft in hand luggage, just not placed in checked luggage in the hold.

My reading of the CAA guidance, in conjunction with the specifications of Swytch batteries, is that you should be fine taking a regular Swytch battery, or even two, with you in your carry-on bag, but you might have a problem with a Swytch Max battery, as it appears to be above the permitted Wh (WattxHr) limit. In any case you will probably need to check with the airline, as sometimes airlines have more restrictions than the CAA baseline regulations.

Hi thanks for your input…

you are indeed correct about my fear of flying restrictions, I do not want to get it confiscated as it cost over £500!

it is a 180 wh battery 5 ah which when I read the restrictions it is too high to carry !

so it is safer to have it couriered or by a friend by car!

regards
Al

Yup, that is exception I noted in my previous post.
