Default Life on Mars - Spanish Version

Just read that this TV programme is going to be made into a Spanish version set in Madrid in 1978. Should be interesting.

What a stupid idea - the whole premise to the success of LoM was the change in attitudes and behaviours of society in the last 30 years. Spain is still the same!! surely a complete failure to see the point???

Being classics car lovers we would assume the only cars in the Spanish version will be SEAT 600. Cannot imagine the cops getting very far very fast in one of those.

That's why they chose the Quatro for the new series, Ashes to Ashes, even though the Quatro wasn't even out for another couple of years after the program year was set

If you buy a Crapi you need an unending supply of cardboard boxes so that every time you pulled up to park you could skid to a screaming halt, boxes flying everywhere.......................Professionals style.

So you had a Mk 3?
Was it an early one with the dials hidden from view? Much nicer than the later ‘corporate’ plan view one…IMHO

we are talking here iirc around the mid to late 70's so I cant remember the detail exactly .... I just remember the colour cos it was a bit of a knacker and I was forever touching it up with spray paint and it looked all spotty by the time I got rid of it
And as I said, it was like a tank ....... but I really liked the look of it
