Because then you get idiots like my boss who's slowly destroying one of the oldest printing companies in the capital that was built up by his Grandfather. The company that I work for had more than 200 employees when the current owner took over and was overflowing with work, there are now 10 of us, machines never have work to do and TBH I don't see it lasting the rest of this year.

Under those circumstances as the writing is on the wall, I would have been looking for another job a long time ago, while the name of the place you were working still had some kudos, if it's failing like you say, then staff from there might well be seen as 'poor quality' as the blame is likely to be focussed on the workforce.
