Hi and a warm welcome to the Spanish forum on BE. Myself and Fred James are the moderators for the Spanish forums whilst BEVS moderates Europe. This is so that members gain the information that they are looking for and find their experiences on the forums to be friendly and worthwhile.

Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderator who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are usually friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge about the issues of living in Spain. I hope that you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

My local escuelas don't seem to offer Spanish :-(

I'll drop them an email anyway & see what they say.

I also have never heard of any free lessons, Rosetta stone is a good way to learn, I learnt from that in a short space of time but music is how I picked up the majority of my knowledge. there are plenty of free websites out there that offer a good place to start but practicing with Spanish speakers is massively important also...

You could try the Paul Noble Spanish it uses the same format as Michelle Thomas but clearer speech and less boring. Although not as comprehensive but a good starting point. Here is is a review compairing the two. http://ellenjovin.com/blog/paul-noble-vs.-michel-thomas
