Something on this thread reminds me of the occasion I tried to help a drunk lady who had fallen down in a busy street and couldn't get up. She was in danger of being run over and I tried to help her on to the pavement.

She told me to xxxx off.

The comparison is a little unfair HBG.

FrugalGirl mentions a "handful" of posters that upset her, not just one, and I can't see any evidence of them here on this thread (if you exclude Andy and my rudeness about talking Windows XP).

Isn't it possible that FrugalGirl wandered off into the rest of BE forum Spain, formed an opinion about our behavior, and found one person's post, here, to be the 'final nail in the coffin'.

FrugalGirl certainly seems to have racked up a lot of karma points from a lot of people sympathising with her.

I understand entirely. I've been here a week and have felt pretty much the same as you for most of that time.

Don't worry about bumping into them, the worst offenders don't live there.

As I said, "every little helps"

How about if you haven't got anything constructive to say you just sit on your hands? I only joined this forum a few days ago but just a handful of members are rapidly putting me off posting any more-
Rude, ******* smart asses who's been there done it and christ, let's hope I never bump into any of them because I'm quite sure they would laugh smugly at me trying to speak Spanish. Very glad we will be in a finca far away from ex pat communities if this is what you are all like. :frown:

Apologies to those that have genuinely tried to help.

I was going to ask about cost of transporting pets but will find another forum.

And perhaps there are at least ten people on here who, because of the bullying tactics of the gang of four thugs, don't feel able to post their sympathy for Fugal Girl72 publicly.

Doesn't trouble me, but then the thugs reside on my ignore list. I would recommend everybody uses that feature. This is a completely different place without them.

I haven't got time to wade through this whole thread, all I know is that I've been informed that some comments posted in this thread have not been made in a welcoming manner, and I can only apologize if any new members have been upset by comments from more established members. Please know this site was created so that expats could help each other with information, experiences and support and I am terribly sorry if your first experiences of using this site has not been good.

Please do not let this put you off BE, the majority of us are wonderfully helpful and supportive and a lot of fun to boot. :)

If at anytime you read a post that is has not been made in the spirit of the forum do not hesitate to PM or email myself or a moderator.

I'm closing this thread now.
