We will be in the same situation in just a few short weeks. We will be moving to Madrid in february. Half of me thinks 'I can't wait' and the other half is ' Oh my goodness, what are we doing' :D
It's going to be hard saying goodbye to all our friends but we are really looking forward to making new ones.

been here three weeks now, the journey down was a long one. Left uk (hertfordshire) went over to france via tunnel through france, we made a stop for the night on the french/spanish border and then travel through spain 24 hours in total. i would not like to do it again in a hurry it was foggy all through france.
Daughter started her college course and she is really happy.
On the work front i will really have to learn alot more spanish before i can attempt to get a job. So time will tell its up to me to start learning.
Dont regret the move, dont miss the uk yet(but it is early days)
Since arriving my brother has been diagnosed with cancer aged 45years old and we have been told to all get check out because of the sort of cancer it is, so we all one life and we should live it.:(
So if things dont work out a least i have tried and had a good time doing it:thumbsup:

Sorry to hear you havent had a very good start, 45 is no age will you need to go back to England for the tests? My father in law has just finished his kemo & now has to wait eight weeks for the results, seems like an age but we are keeping our fingers crossed.
A bad start means it can only get better, right!!

Did you only stop the once? we thought about a couple of stops & how much were the tolls & is the road ok as we heard that they are all covered by cameras?
God so many questions will save some more for another time.
