Large Anti-Monarchy Demo in Madrid
1400 Police are out to prevent the demonstrators reaching the Royal Palace. Chants of tomorrow we will be a republic and calling on the King to abdicate.

Never was a big fan of monarchies myself. But I couldn't be bothered to protest. Would be like screaming at a box of rocks.

You never know the demo might still be called off if Rey JC, hands over Urdanga and his missus over to the masses.

I imagine there must be quite a demand for anger management courses up there in the land of ten million olive trees.

I agree.
The Spanish Royal are getting a lot of stick.
The antics of the British Royals, have been small potatoes compared to the andanzas of certain elements of the Spanish Royals.
For all the Fergie scandal, wanting a backhander from businessmen for an introduction to P.Andrew, it does not even come close to the repugnant Duques (translation = parasites) of Palma, who openly stole millions.

Probably OLIVES,
Bloody great truck loads of them rumbling non stop past his house which was one of his biggest gripes at this time last year, until of course Granada's diabolical winter weather set in and went top of the moan and groan list.
Sadly it doesn't seem like the joys of living in Spain have done a great deal to brighten up Dom's outlook.

Right, he seemed to be a more "human" King, in touch with his people.
At the risk of being slated for bringing the UK into it, changes in public support happen all the time.
The queen was a persona non grata for a while, when Diana died and she would not allow some flag or other to be at half mast.
People fall in and out of love with the Royals quite often.
In that respect they are like "boybands".
