Just purchased laptop ebay , all ok apart from not being able to get the @ sign to operate, can anyone help thanks

Need the make and model of laptop, UK or other spec, operating system and language!
Usually, you have to use a combination of keys (ie Ctrl, Shift and @ or Ctrl, Alt and @) or a function key.

I use Alt then on numeric pad put 0064
