The Spanish Land Registry site that Keith has given you is great I got my Nota Simple online from UK for €10 but there are two parts and you must use the public bit and not that reserved for Notaries as I tried to do at first. It is has English pages for us philistines as well.
I think the Catastral offices are the places where they give out and hold records of the "official" value of property which is used by the various tax authorities for the tax base.
Regards,
John.

Bear in mind that although there is a facility to order the nota simple in English the reply will be in Spanish.

There are two sections to the Catastro site. One section can be accessed by anyone but it is limited to being able to check on the location of plots of land and its referencia catastral etc.
The other section requires the insertion of a username and password which is generally only issued to a gestor or government department with a legitimate interest.

Had a quick look at the Castastro site and it seems to say anyone can register as an individual but if you only have one property and are not in the property business it does not seem worth it going to the trouble to get that 16 digit key.
On another tack if you are on a new urbanisation and just buy a plot to build a house you don't seem to have the right information to fill in the boxes they are different to those required by the Land Registry site.

The property registry uses registration data but Catastro uses the actual address. If this is a brand new urbanisation it is unlikely that the horizontal division has been carried out and that it will still show the details of the overall plot.
What, exactly, are you trying to find out?

See the links given in post #2 of this thread. There is only one official Property Registry and Catstro site. I'm not really sure what you require.
