Default La Linea

im moving to La Linea in the new year, Im planing to stay for a week or so in a hotel/b&b whilst I try and find a cheap appartment to rent, I wondered if anyone knows what the cheapest hotel/hostel/b&b in town is.....?

also I wonderd if there were any papers which had online listing for rental properties in La Linea (NOT the SUR as it never seems to have any la linea listings in) so I could get an idea of the market b4 hand. if not, how much should I exptect to pay to rent a small 1 or 2 bed appartment, either in the center or near the beach?

finally, does anyone know what price rouglhy are entry level properties selling for (im a 1st time buyer) in La Linea?

any help is much appreciated,,

La Linea is rather expensive due to it bordering Gibraltar. I have heard lots of people moaning although I do not know what the prices actually are as only people who work in Gib want to live in La Linea. I'll try and find out and ,if I do, I'll post later. The Rough Guide to Andalucia should give an idea of Hostal prices

Hi Teddy,

Not to sure about hostal prices, but I would imagine they would be pretty reasonable at that of the year There is also a possiblity to rent short term in Gib it self ( I presume you will work in Gib). You can contact Herald Travel on email; [email protected] or on phone +350 71250. Or Jade Travel on email [email protected] or phone +350 350 49364. Both do short term lets on Oceans Heights close to Casemates Square.

A list of Gib Estate agents here. I have yet to find any Spanish estate agents with rental properties online. Mainly because they go really quickly. Depending on location etc, the rent is between €450 - 750 for one or two bedrooms close to town centre and the border.

Prices for buying starts from €90 000 for studio/ one bedrooms close to the border.

Hope that helps

Tinky
