I am sure the Spanish soup would not taste the same. I have found the Mars Bars and Kit Kats made here do not have that creamy taste in fact are awful :(

Well Christine how did you get on at the English Supermarket stroke money pit.
Heinz beans are 82 cents in Mucky Donna here they are 1.12 Look after the cents and shop around. I love supermarkets I know its rather sad but I have the time to potter around now the Sun has gone on holiday for a few months, Also a big Ferreteria well nowwwwwww your talking. :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

The chocolate on mars bars is all crumbly and dry I've noticed, and there a ripoff so I never bother.

OMG I was so shocked at how expensive everything was :eek::eek:
I now realise how much I can do without. The only two words my hubby said were 'HOW MUCH' over and over:rofl::rofl:

I must say we do use an English shop to get Pataks curry paste and Shredded wheat now winter is upon us, There is little else as you can find most things or their likeness in the Supermarkets. With Curry we use the MEXICAN FAJITAS bread just warmed though on a pan and they taste just as good as the indian chapati.They are available at most Supermarkets. I bet you have stuffed yourself with all your English goodies, My nearest one some 5 miles away was selling two for one easter eggs the other week :rofl::rofl:

I am having the same problem, my wife uses Knorr tomato soup in various dishes, we have been looking for months for the knorr version and cannot find a spanish equivalent and we have looked extensively through out the Murcia region.....whats going on?:sneaky:

I can't believe that weeks later Knorr is still the flavour of the month(s) when as jdr says, there's frito (admittedly a bit sweeter) and triturado, not to mention tom concentrate paste (don't know Spanish name)... what the heck's knorr got that these haven't, apart from countless E numbers?

No, Frito is not the same and has a totally different taste, I have been on the www.knorr.es site and they still list the packet tomato soup but I still cannot find a stockist.
I will get some bought over from the uk as there does not seem to be a problem there.

We live ina country where vegetables abound, and are relatively cheap .... I dont think I'll ever consider buying a packet of soup :D

I have noticed that Intermarché supermarkets seem to sell the Knorr range, I am not a fan but I remembered that people had problems locating the said items.

Each to your own but I suppose that depends on whether you have the time, we sometimes have to make soup for 40 people, my wife uses the Knorr tomato soup as a base adding frito and other bits and bobs so that she can make a very large and tasty soup quickly so that she has time to prepare the other 3 courses for 40 people.
