We've used them quite a few times and have not had any problems.....even when we had to drop the dog off on a Sunday. Pip (our dog) was a happy chappy too! Only thing they insist on is that the dog be vaccinated for kennel cough.

I think last time we used them was in April and it was €7 per day for one small dog.

Why not give them a ring and ask. They're very friendly.

If I didn't have this damn cast on, I'd offer to care for them myself....Pip loves to have friends staying over ......but I'm afraid I just can't make that offer at the moment....

Rung the kennels you suggested.

Seemed very nice.

Unfortunately they are fully booked for Christmas! She says you have to book 18 months in advance!

I am having a bad flipping day today!

Don't panick!

I have another number, in Calpe.

It is the Spanish Equivalent of RSPCA (Servicio de Proteccion Y Recogida de Animales) Calpe branch on the 332, but also do kennels. Very clean, etc only problem is that they only allow owners to bring/take dogs between Monday to Friday from 8am to 2pm.

They don't speak English. Phone Number 965839294, Address Pda Barranc Salat, Calpe (on 332 road after the tunnels when coming from Altea on the left....it is signposted).

Another option is a couple I met last week (very nice people) who do dog sitting in their own home....I think. The woman's name is Rhonda, tel 648 883 398.

Let me know how you get on.

Martha

You are ace!

There is kennels near Benidorm which are very good, I have spoken to them at 9 euro per night per dog which is OK. However, Christmas you have to pay for 2 weeks accommodation, which for my two would work out to be 250 euro odd! Even though I will only be away for 4 days or so. Thats my Christmas present gone

Do you know where the dogsitters live?

Thanks for all your help Martha. x

Hi Sarah,

I'm not too sure where the dog sitters live, but I THINK they live near the Jalon Valley or thereabouts. They are a really nice couple and have a beautiful small dog of their own.....very friendly!

The Calpe kennels I mentioned in my previous post are really good too! I'd suggest taking a drive and checking it out if you can! I think when we went and asked them they said about 6 to 7 Euros a day per dog.
