Job offer in barcelona
Hello everyone!
My husband is about to negotiate the final stages for a Network Test Engineer job in Barcelona.
It will be the two of us and our 2 year-old moving over there. Could you help us on suggestions what a good salary would be?
We would like to live around eixample or gracia as it would be fairly close to work, at least two bedrooms. I realise that I would not be able to find work considering the unemployment rates in Spain and none of us yet speak fluent spanish/catalan. I want in time to start up my own business but we'll have to depend on my husbands wages for security.
Our son would eventually need to go some kind of preschool, international if we could afford it but local school seems good too.
We're not big spenders but wouldn't want to live too poorly. Won't have a car.
Would be grateful for your comments!

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let me know if you need any further help.
